Astrid Mitchell and her son Olly have a lot going on, including a home break-in, a vehicle invasion, and a concussion. When a local drug dealer turns up murdered in the same town, West Chandler, the new sheriff, believes none of these are a coincidence. It appears someone is out to get Astrid, and her ex-husband turned dirty cop may be involved. The sheriff will do all he can to protect her and keep Olly safe. Before long, the two are strongly drawn together in a way neither saw coming, but solving the murder will keep them both on their toes.
