When detective Larry Millsaps is called in to investigate a rape, he finds enough evidence to convince him that he has an open-and-shut case. He soon discovers, however, that rape victim Melissa Nelson may have planted the evidence in a vengeful plot to convict the rapist, who killed her sister. Although Millsaps cannot condone what Melissa has done, neither can he avoid emotional entanglement with her.
