#1 New York Times bestselling queen of romance Julie Garwood "knows how to reach out and touch readers' hearts" with this "laugh-out-loud little read...all delight, pure fun, and yummy" (RT Book Reviews), the first of her beloved Clayborne brothers novellas to be available as a separate ebook—at an irresistible price!
THE CLAYBORNES ARE BACK, AND LOVE IS IN BLOOM!

First introduced in Julie Garwood's magnificent New York Times bestseller For the Roses, the Clayborne brothers of Blue Belle, Montana, have been embraced by millions worldwide.
Their story begins in One Pink Rose.

Travis Clayborne may be the youngest of the Clayborne brothers, but he's most definitely his own man—unless it means saying no to his beloved Mama Rose. And that's why Travis is escorting young Bostonian Emily Finnegan to Golden Crest, Montana to her new home as a mail-order bride. Emily has made it perfectly clear that she's taken charge of her destiny and nothing is going to interfere, not even falling in love with a perfect stranger. But they don't call it the wild west for nothing...

Three very different "brothers," who bonded as homeless New York street urchins, meet their matches in the rough and tumble Montana Territory of the 1880s (with a little help from the meddlesome "Mama Rose") in these three historical novellas that were first published by Pocket in 1997. The youngest Clayborne brother escorts a fiery Boston mail-order bride to her intended and falls in love in Pink Rose. A rancher helps deliver a widow's baby in White Rose and succumbs to the mother in this humorous story with a dangerous edge. A scholarly hero and a heroine with a secret star in the multicultural romance Red Rose. This engaging trio are spun off from Garwood's For the Roses (1995).

Based on characters from Garwood's best-selling For the Roses (Pocket, 1995), this short romance takes headstrong, antimarriage Travis Clayborne, puts him in charge of safely transporting mail-order bride Emily Finnegan to her future husband, and lets proximity takes its course. Travis is determined to keep his promise to Mama Rose--and by the journey's end, he is glad he did. Despite a fast pace, occasional flashes of Garwood's trademark humor, a nice prolog, and the intriguing secondary character One-Eyed Jack, the story is hampered by incomplete character development and a silly heroine. Readers looking for something comparable to Garwood's more substantive works (e.g., Saving Grace, Pocket, 1993) may be disappointed. Nevertheless, this is the first of three novellas that will focus on the Clayborne brothers and their romantic adventures. Garwood lives in Kansas. (KR)
