Witty Rumblewick the cat is back, writing about even more hilarious hijinx with his unwilling witch in Book 3 of the series. Rumblewick is Haggy Aggy's right-hand cat, contractually bound to shape her into the best witch she can be. The problem? Haggy Aggy is a most unwitchy witch, and she has no interest in boiling frogs—she wants to be a STAR! Now Haggy is dead-set on entering the Girl Bands Are Us contest and becoming a rockstar. But how is Rumblewick to stop her and avoid the wrath of the ruling witches if he can't stop his head from bopping along with the music? With hand-written text of varying sizes, doodles, and comical black-and-white illustrations throughout, it's easy to believe you're really reading a diary.

Gr 3-5-Rumblewick Spellwacker Mortimer B is contractually bound to Haggy Aggy and must assist her in acting as a true and proper witch. The trouble for the cat is that his witch has different aspirations. In this installment in the series, RB records in his diary his boss's intent to start an all-girl band and become the biggest star in the galaxy. RB expects that the plan will not sit well with the High Hags, who rule the witches' world. However, Haggy Aggy is able to blackmail one of them into joining the group and devises a spell to turn the hag into a pretty girl. Disaster strikes when the spell wears off during the audition. Whimsical drawings elevate a story light on plot and character development. Purchase only where the series has a following."Beth Cuddy, Seward Elementary School, Auburn, NY"

Haggy Aggy is unwilling to be a "proper-practicing" witch, forcing her right-hand cat, Rumblewick, to work overtime to avoid trouble with the High Hags. Rumblewick uses scrapbook-like images, doodles, black-and-white illustrations, and humorously descriptive language to document HA's antics in his private diaries. Readers will enjoy the quickly moving plot, with laughs and surprises around every corner.
