In this installment, Atwater-Rhodes brings a well-crafted conclusion to her extraordinary and mysterious world of Midnight. A covenant has formed that can topple the vampires, but Misha's instability poses as great a threat. Malachi has little agency as events happen around him, reducing any sense of urgency or suspense.
