Precious Cummings agrees to help run her father's dry cleaning business in L.A. and defer college, only to be left with the struggling business after he is murdered. She spends time with frequent customer Keisha, who introduces her to drug kingpin DaVon. Precious and DaVon fall in love, and she enjoys the wealth and lifestyle, while he trains her in his business. When DaVon is killed, Precious is ready to take over. In between running the crews and working with the source, she learns that she has a twin sister and that her father kept all kinds of secrets from her for years. She also begins to learn of treachery within the ranks of her drug empire.
