Everything is different underground. Just ask the residents of Harmony, a futuristic world where alien catacombs can lead you astray—and where psychic senses spark out-of-this-world passion…

Reporter Sierra McIntyre’s stories on Crystal City’s ghost hunters—and their mysterious guild—have earned her tabloid a bit of respect. And they’ve allowed her to clothe her dust bunny companion Elvis in rock-and-roll style. It helps that she has mega-rez intuition to fall back on…
Especially when she interviews Ghost Hunter Guild Boss John Fontana about the disappearances of retired, homeless hunters. She doesn’t want to trust the physically and psychically powerful man, but her senses—and Elvis—give her the green light. To uncover the conspiracy within his own organization, Fontana proposes…marriage. And though it’s purely a business arrangement, there is nothing pure about the attraction that sizzles between them…

Investigative reporter Sierra McIntyre will do just about anything to get a story on the latest mystery surrounding the Ghost Hunters and the dangerous underground tunnels on Harmony. Still, she never expects that an offer of marriage from the powerful Ghost Hunter Guild boss, John Fontana, will be the means to that end. Plenty of action, creative plotting, sizzling sexual tension, and independent, intelligent protagonistshallmarks of Castle's worksare here in full measure. In addition, an Elvis-wannabe dust bunny adds a whimsical touch. This latest Harmony is great fun, perfect for fans who like their futuristics with a paranormal touch and a lot of sass. Castle ("Silver Master") is the enormously popular Jayne Ann Krentz and Amanda Quick; she lives near Seattle.

Investigative reporter Sierra McIntyre knew there was a connection between the new drug known as ghost juice, some missing ghost hunters, and the Crystal City Guild; she just never expected Crystal City Guild boss John Fontana would agree with her. Much to Sierras surprise, not only did Fontana think Sierra was right buthe actually wants to work with her to find out exactly what is happening. The only problem is that Fontana insists on marrying Sierra since the only way he can effectively protect heris if she is his wife. Sierra would agree to just about anything to get the story of her career, but she quickly discovers that the more time she and Fontana spend together on their investigation, the less convenient their marriage of convenience becomes. With her classic sharp sense of wit and unrivaled skill for creating captivating characters (including a dust bunny that threatens to steal the whole show), best-selling Krentz switches to her Castle pseudonym to cook up another delectably entertaining paranormal-flavored tale of romantic suspense.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2008, American Library Association.)
