In Bokal's fourth installment in the "Wyoming Nights" series (following Agent's Wyoming Mission), one night of passion between District Attorney Chloe Rider and Rocky Mountain Justice operative Marcus Jones has lasting consequences that neither had expected--situations that soon turn deadly for them both when a serial killer they worked to place behind bars suddenly puts all of their lives at risk. Will Marcus and Chloe make it out alive?, the novel asks. However, the dangers the characters find themselves in are caused by one implausible situation after another and will likely leave romantic suspense readers unimpressed in the end. VERDICT Though readers who have invested time in the "Wyoming Nights" series might be enticed into picking this book up, it has little to recommend it to new readers.--Rebecca Moe
