Trying bartending for the first time seems to be the quickest way to start shoring up her finances, although Diego, the cute but grumpy widower and owner of The Saloon, doubts bookish Mickey will last longer than a few weeks in the rowdy bar. Further complicating the sparks flying between boss and employee is the discovery that Diego is also one of Mickey's online writing course students. As the summer weeks progress, Diego is astonished to find himself being won over by the sunny Mickey as she enlivens his life, even if she should be strictly off-limits while he's her student.
