This is the 12th and final book in the multi-author "Coltons of Colorado" series, after To Trust a Colton Cowboy by Dana Nussio. Desperate to catch the man who's been threatening her family, lawyer Morgan Colton turns to the one man in town she'd rather not ask for any more favors--street-smart bar owner Roman DiMera, the man she drunkenly kissed nearly a year ago. When Roman's contacts put Morgan directly in the crosshairs of a killer, he will do anything to keep her safe. VERDICT Readers who have gotten this far in the series will appreciate the everyone-lives-happily-ever-after-with-a-wedding epilogue they've been waiting for, but the story itself, with implausible investigative work and a lukewarm romance, doesn't have too much to recommend it to newcomers.--Rebecca Moe
