Maggie Caddel is an undercover investigative journalist who has seen too much. The cartel is after the evidence she hid and will not stop until they retrieve it or kill her in the process. Jones Driscoll and his K-9 partner, Gotham, rescued Maggie once and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Working together to unearth the hidden SD card and bring the cartel down has the two working closely, side by side. They find their mutual growing attraction intriguing and worth exploring, but first, they must stay alive. VERDICT Severn (K-9 Detection) delivers another K-9 story that will keep readers on the edge of their seats, with great characters and well-researched scenarios.--Shondra Brown
